課程目標

(1) Create opinions that can be supported with evidence
(2) Search and assess usable types of evidence to support opinions
(3) Form and react to counterarguments

課程內容

[Day 1] Introduction of basic vocabulary related to argumentation. Basic ground rules for the course and when arguing with each other. Group activity to experience debate and argumentation.

[Day 2] Distinguish facts from opinions. How do you form opinions? What are some types of evidence? How and where can you find them?

[Day 3] Formation of counterarguments: What are they? How do you create them?

[Day 4] What can the audience do during debates, lectures, etc? How to formulate questions as a participating audience. Group Project assignment and explanation. Begin working on group project.

[Day 5] Continue working on group project and present the project.
